"TOO JUICY!" BAG COLLECTION
A collaboration between Samantha and Hope Town Canvas, this limited collection featured paintings turned into one-of-a-kind clutches. Each bag was individually painted by Samantha before being sewn and finished by the W Sailbag studio. The collection was released exclusively on their online storefront as a limited series of unique, wearable works.
The paintings were playfully approached by Sam, using chunky brushstrokes, inky washes, saturated colors, and organic patterns. No two pieces were painted the same in the collaboration, each exploring a new idea. Familar Bahamian motifs such as fruit, fish, spiny lobster, and other significant icons appear throughout the collection, loosely sketched and boldy painted in.
